AJcaraballo95 is a YouTuber who is calling for all sane, normal people to root out and destroy the infectious infidels who have dared to defile our sacred manuscript, The Last Jedi. All different but equally as beautiful opinions must come together to purge the verbal terrorist hatemongers of The Toxic Brood. We don't know who the brood is, but we know that they command immense power and nobody should care about them.[1] He is the arbiter of true fans, believing that The Toxic Brood tells other fans that “you are not a true Star Wars fan if you didn’t hate The Last Jedi, it’s a disgrace to this whole series”

Call to Arms Against The Toxic Brood[1][]

“you have the right; you deserve your own opinion”

MauLer, Wolf, Rags, Jeremy from Geeks & Gamers, and Jeff from WorldClassBullshitters first encountered AJCarabello on EFAP 29, where they learned from him about the existence of The Toxic Brood. The title made reference to a "Fandom Menace," of which Jeremy and Jeff were already proud members, and they were uncertain if the title was inspired by them or simply coincidental.

Carabello's video was a call to arms for all decent and mentally sound Star Wars fans (illustrated by B-roll of Chris Stuckmann and I Hate Everything) to stand up against a horrid part of the fanbase who have acted in a manner they have no justifiable right to, stating that "the infection of a once-great fandom has to be cured." He laid out his interpretation of the message of Star Wars as being, to him at least, that no matter how different you look or sound we are all part of this one universe, to which MauLer and co countered that while you can get that message from it, it's not really something that's actually stated in the films - the Sith didn't really seem to be included as part of that theme. Whether you liked The Last Jedi or weren't a fan, Carabello put forth that we must root out the hatred from the fandom full of "different but equally beautiful opinions." To those who were willing to join him on this quest, he said to enjoy this video, and to those who are part of what he dubbed the Toxic Brood, he expressed hope that they would learn how not to be a hatemonger.

With his thesis statement made known, Carabello went into detail about this Hatemongering Toxic Brood, full of "FANS" (said in a whiny, grating voice) who accuse people of not being true fans, and are themselves not true fans for calling people not true fans. He warned that Star Wars as a franchise is on the brink of collapse because the people who love it are tearing it down with every fiber of their being, to which MauLer responded that collapse might actually be preferable to having it continue as a puppeteered corpse of a franchise like Alien or Predator, which keep seeing new installments that nobody wanted. He scrolled through thumbnails of literally just negative reviews (including ones by both WorldClassBullshitters and AngryJoe) and called them pathetic, then played B-roll of even more people literally just giving negative reviews and denounced them as nothing but "wah wah wah wah, me me me me, I I I I," in stark contrast with his earlier assertion that you have the right to your own opinion, a noble stance inspired by John Adams in the 77th Amendment to the Constitution.

Wether

A wise quote from a wise man

From the topic of literally just negative reviews, Carabello seemlessly flowed into the topic of harassment, as if the two were in the same ballpark. He compared the mindset of those who harass people over movies to a quote from an old wise man, "They were so preoccupied with wether or not they could, they didnt' [sic] stop to think if they should." That Jurassic Park quote led to him satirically saying that he was going to send death threats to Colin Trevorrow over Jurassic World, to demonstrate how ridiculous such an act would be, which nobody disagreed with, and MauLer pointed out that people who actually do commit harassment won't be dissuaded by simply telling them to stop. Carabello explained how just because he hated Jurassic World didn't mean he was going to spend all his time bashing it, and described those who do the same with Star Wars to be "one step away from following your waitress down a dark alley, clutching a knife, because she gave you a salad fork for your steak” - you might think that's an extreme comparison, but it's not. He brought up how Rose Tico's actress Kelly Marie Tran left Instagram, which he, and many others, concluded was due to harassment. How did they conclude this? Just did. EFAP pointed out that the only statement Tran had made in regards to that was pinning the blame on Hollywood and the media, not on any fans. Nevertheless, Carabello concluded that "these people are verbal terrorists."

Carabello brought up how Mark Hamill said he took issue with how Luke's character was handled, but said that people who took away that he took issue with how Luke's character was handled from that were taking him out of context, and then said he disagreed with Mark's view that Luke's character was mishandled. He called anybody who thought Hamill may have been told to go back on those statements by Disney "retarded," and the roster was quick to denounce his toxicity. He then brought up how Mark Hamill doesn't like Trump, and told anyone who expressed that they wanted him to stay out of politics to simply "fuck off," as Mark can post whatever he wants, a freedom that apparently doesn't extend to people who post about hating a Star Wars movie. Jeremy was quick to notice that he had a plethora of examples of people telling Mark Hamill to stay out of politics but none of actual harassment he described earlier.

Carabello defended Rian Johnson's story as he did the best he could with what he had (he did one draft), and told people (rather toxicly) who wanted Episode VII remade "fuck you," as it would be wrong for Disney to throw out Rian's work like that, to which MauLer point out they did so with the entire Expanded Universe. He similarly accused people who wanted the movie discarded of wanting to throw out Carrie Fisher's final performance, and therefore of being heartless. He similarly decried the hate that George Lucas received over the decision he made with the prequels, then said that Lucas should not be allowed to come back to Star Wars because of the unforgivable decisions he made with the prequels and the Special Editions, which disrespected the work that other people did by tweaking it slightly, as well as a bad animated children's movie about fairies (that he wrote for his daughters, and that was apparently altered from what he wrote). He asserted that George Lucas ruined Star Wars, and Disney saved it, and we should let the franchise be put into the hands of people who put passion and effort in, implying Lucas did not, an implication that was solidified by him accusing Lucas of not giving a shit because he killed Darth Maul. He ended this takedown of Lucas by telling the Hate-Mongering Verbal Terrorists of The Toxic Brood that they don't deserve Lucas, because they said bad things about him.

After going over how bad George Lucas' franchise-destroying decisions were in the prequels, Carabello implied that those who did not like Kathleen Kennedy's with the sequels were not real fans, responding to similar criticisms of her with "give me a fucking break." He called people hypocritical for criticizing her handling of The Last Jedi after praising her handling of The Force Awakens, as if someone cannot make both bad and good movies. He then went on to list at length the long line of movies that Kennedy worked as producer on, including Sindler's List [sic], and the gang eagerly awaited the part where he mentioned Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Carabello then conceded that there were indeed bad movies on that list, but argued the bad doesn't undo the good (though it did for Lucas), apparently unaware that that statement works in reverse as well. As he put it, "THIS WOMAN IS YOUR CHILDHOOD!" He described how Kennedy promised to take care of the characters we grew up with, which was comforting, then the characters we grew up with were murdered onscreen in front of us, but defended that on the grounds that she didn't mean she would preserve their lives, just their integrity, that they wouldn't be turned into the polaropposite of who they were... even though that's what happened. Carabello thought otherwise though, saying that Han was still snarky, Leia was still a leader, and Luke could still broadly be defined as "flawed," and to anyone had criticisms beyond that, "WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?" He praised Kennedy's decision for dropping the "asshat" Colin Trevorrow, whom he said he wouldn't talk about anymore, saying that his Episode IX would have ruined Star Wars because he made bad Jurassic Park movies, and only Kennedy is allowed to be forgiven for her mistakes.

The only flop on Kathleen Kennedy's part that Carabello had to concede was Solo: A Solo Solo. which only failed due to a lackluster boycott, which was so lackluster that it successfully did what it set out to do. In addition to only flopping due to "all the butthurt toxic Last Jedi haters" (the toxic thing they did being not watch a movie), Solo also flopped due to being released in May, the same month as the first 6 Star Wars movies, and Infinity War, but Infinity War was early May and not late May so it doesn't count. He was thankful that at least Solo didn't fail as hard as Justice League, another film he was oddly insistent on bringing up in a negative light, to which Jeremy pointed out that Justice League actually did make a profit. He then spent eight minutes reviewing Solo, in his video that was supposed to be about the Star Wars fandom. He called the movie "fine," but had a list of criticisms, including the "Solo" name origin and the film leaning on fanservice like the inclusion of Darth Maul, to which Rags and the others called out his toxicity for once again focusing on the flaws over the achievements, which he had criticized others for doing. Carabello also called L337 an SJW after having told others to fuck off for having that complain about Kathleen Kennedy.

He would have ended his video there, but decided to add an entire extra segment where he talks about the Clone Wars TV show coming back, in his video that was meant to be about the fandom, saying that he was excited for The Clone Wars coming back, though he hadn't seen it. He also added that he refuses to watch Rebels, because the lightsabers are too thin. He called it hypocritical that people criticized Disney for the sequel movies, but were happy when Disney made the good decision of bringing back The Clone Wars (which was being made by the same team that did it before Disney bought Star Wars, and which was canceled by Disney in the first place). Immediately after calling it hypocritical to hate Disney but love The Clone Wars, he then decried the Disney haters who were criticizing the trailer for The Clone Wars, stating they should just be grateful that Disney gave them something they wanted. People shouldn't judge The Clone Wars before they see it, only he can do that, just like he did for Trevorrow's Episode IX. He further decried people who left negative meme comments on the trailer for Resistance, a show for children (leading Rags to wonder why a show allegedly for children is airing at 10pm on a Sunday), after having talked about how much he hated the fairy movie George Lucas wrote.

Carabello capped off his video by criticizing people for eating up movies he considers undeserving of their money, then decried the very concept of boycotting a movie.

whole section reviewing every prequel

Our heroes from the Original Trilogy wouldn't want us to hate this film,

is looking forward to rian's trilogy, yeah, it's still happening - is happy that star wars conventions are places where star wars fans can be star wars fans (what if the Brood goes?) - wishes that the fanbase could be safe place

emotional, screams constantly - sees the toxic fans as screaming babies only thinking themselves - rambly, really rambly, as he tells his opinion on the movies and tv series - Overall says that vocal detractors are the problem. the toxic brood is extremely powerful but also weak

names the video "fandom menace", but spend nearly half of the video contributing to the fandom menace by tearing down the movies except sequels and doesn’t appreciate their achievements

On The Rise Of Skywalker[]

MauLer, Rags, Drinker, Cynical Reviews, Literature Devil, and MarkAfterDark next encountered AJCarabello on EFAP 100, where they took a look at his review of The Rise of Skywalker.

Long dramatic intro, trying to be cinematic

He wanted to love the movie, but he only liked it. Sort of.

There were things he liked and on its own its not that bad of a film. But ending of a trilogy, its bad and he doesn't hate people that don't like it. its just a rip off of Endgame instead of the endgame of the trilogy.

He left theater after watching Force Awakens with smile on his face. This movie he left with "yeah...it was alright"

its 7/10 movie for him at the time, but dropped to 6 after thinking it.

Best thing was the John Williams music. He is happy he finished it. Second best were the visuals. Have to get credit to the necromancers that fit Carrie Fisher in the scenes. Dialogue was unnatural, but they tried, so it counts as good. Performers were great, especially Rey and Kylo. He especialy liked Kylo, as he was composed and intimidating leader in this movie, even with the mask

Han Solo scene was very emotional,

fight in the Death Star was intense, so was the force fight Rey and Kylo had on Vader's helmet.

Reylo Moment, not the kissing, was epic (where they lift up their lightsabers and get zapped by Palpatine)

he loved the trio (Rey, Finn and Poe), desiring to see them together since the first movie, the movie gave him them interacting and fighting the First Order, so he is happy.

His happy that he gets to see all the old characters from the original Trilogy.

The movie is called Rise of Skywalker because Kylo helped Rey by killing Knights of Ren and resurrected her and Rey kept the name alive by adopting it. Main reason however, is that the true Rise is the ships arriving to help Rey and Kylo, or "The Rise of Hope", as in previous movie Luke inspired hope when he arrive as Force Projection.

Pacing, especially in first minutes is rushed. there is too much expositions and no room to breath and process it. Also Rose was sidelined for no reason, she should be part of the main crew, he would have loved to see her as part of the main 4 and interacting with them, like cue banter with Fin

He is not sure if the two are a thing in the movie, as it looks like they have some sort of romantic interaction but are trying to keep professional attitude and there is some random kiss between random characters in the end of the movie, it should have been between Finn and Rose.

Finn has little to do, besides showing his leadership skills by leading ex storm troopers to battle at the end of the movie.

It would have been cool if Finn had used his supposed Force power to crush Star Destroyers command deck. He wouldn't have succeeded, but he could have at least tried. Broom boy did something with force, but Fin didn't

It was nice that C-3P0 was involved in the plot, but him not being able to tell the Sith translation makes no sense.

He liked the idea of bringing Palpatine back, but he hated how the movie did it. Acting was creepy and actor had fun, but his return was not explained well.

Diad makes sense since both are grandchildren of Sith, but he liked it better when Rey was just nobody and he knows that they made Rey a Palpatine because fans didn't like her being a nobody and thought she was Mary Sue for not having any explanation for her power. Name "Rey Palpatine" doesn't sound right to him, as any other name in the franchise would have sounded better. But it makes some sense, since her dark nature was hinted in the Last Jedi, but that could have been just hit to her going to dark side.

There is no explanation of how Leia knew Rey was a Palpatine

Rey killing Palpatine is okay, as she had help from the other Jedi. Also she is Palpatine, it takes one to kill one, as he sees it. But it would have been better if Rey and Kylo would have beaten him together.

Force healing was shown in Mandalorian before the movie came out, so its okay to use it and it didn't come from nowhere. But she does not use it to heal Poe when he gets shot in the arm and its not used before in the other movies, when it would have been useful. She heals Kylo but not Poe, her comrade.

He doesn't like that the movie shits on the Last Jedi.

He still likes the first two of the trilogy and he doesn't hate the trilogy as a whole. He would have wanted that they put more effort to the movies writing, like having actual plan for the movies and postponing them when needed. First two feel more organized and planned out and last feels off. He will still watch the future films.

Those that think Star Wars is dead, its not, they have games and TV shows.

  • "who the hell are you? what makes you so damn special than you think that any of these people have to head to you deluded demands and proclamations? nobody honestly cares about your extremely fragile sense of reality, you reside in a severely narcissistic bubble”his question to the toxic fans, since its deluded to want well written movie
  • “And the only reason that Solo bombed is because the asshat haters decided to throw their lackluster boycott”
  • “Do you understand that there is no way we could possibly expect to see Luke, Han, and Leia last for countless decades, our great grandchildren idolizing a scientifically preserved Mark Hamill, slicing down Stormtroopers as Luke Skywalker, the man who never dies?”
