"Who gives a shit if there's a bunch of women in the film? You get to look at women!"

- EFAP 13

Maj0r Lee is a film editor and YouTuber who loves The Last Jedi and will defend it at any cost, either to his own dignity or to the sanity of others. He frequently uses his unending smugness to attack the "close-minded whiny fanboys" who were too stupid to appreciate Rian Johnson's masterpiece in the same way he did, and views said individuals as "mentally unfit to sit in the movie theater"

Despite only being covered once and appearing once more, Maj0r Lee has endured as one of the most memetic EFAP villains

History[]

PreFAP[]

TBA

Foreshadowing[]

MauLer first encountered Maj0r Lee on Twitter, where he responded to MauLer thanking people for supporting his channel by claiming it was proof his life had no purpose outside of making movie reviews that are too long

vs The Mentally Ill[]

“Being mad that they decided to deepen the story just makes you sound, I don’t know, not very smart”

MauLer, Rags, DasBoSchitt, smudboy. and Doomcock first encountered a proper MajorLee video on EFAP 13, where they took a look at his video explaining why only someone who is mentally deficient would dislike The Last Jedi, which he prefaced with warning people was full of cold hard truths. Lee started off with a bang, explaining to people who found Luke drinking the alien milk cringe that it actually made perfect sense because he was a farmer, despite Luke having been a moisture farmer who never owned any livestock. He denied that Last Jedi did away with the setups in The Force Awakens because Rey being a nobody could actually have been set up by the latter, and denounced all the fan theories speculating who her parents were on the grounds that people predicting those answers made them by definition predictable, and therefore bad. Despite having just said doing anything that could be predicted would be bad, Lee lamented that the fan theories born of The Force Awakens meant it may have been too open-ended, then bragged that his own prediction for Rey's parentage came true. He mocked people who believed Kylo was lying to Rey about this, since it was Rey who said the actual line, despite her having said it because Kylo convinced her of it

Lee described Luke's story as being like Obi-Wan's but ten times more awesome, because of the Jedi mind trick reveal, and scoffed at anyone who disliked Luke's story in the movie, then told people who had a problem with it to blame it on JJ Abrams for setting it up so it had to be this way, despite having just called it perfect and also despite having previously said this story was unpredictable. Doomcock, meanwhile, was happy to blame both of them. Lee explained that the movie knew it would be divisive, hence all the splitting imagery, and that the theme of letting the past die makes sense because in order to have an impact in the year 2018 they needed to do something new, leaving the roster wondering just how new it even was given it all led back to Jedi vs Sith and an Empire vs Rebels at the end of the day. Rags found him describing the sequels' characters as better rebels than the original humorous enough to begin with since they had gotten all but a handful of their members killed, and the claim was made stranger by him explaining what made them better was realizing that soldiers were not what was needed to solve their problems, raising the question of how they did not still count as soldiers. Lee praised the movie for showing the Force was not only what was shown in the previous movies, something nobody believed in the first place, and that Luke Skywalker was not the only one who gets to be a Jedi, apparently forgetting that Leia already existed. The gang similarly disagreed with his premise that this trilogy needed to be bigger than the last, which fell flat anyway since it ended up being more drama with Skywalkers and Solos. He assured people that Luke's character was not ruined since he still had the biggest heart in the whole galaxy, which MauLer found laughable since he had abandoned his family to have to fight a war against a galaxy-conquering force by themselves. What became apparent throughout all of this review was Lee's tendency to just say things about the movie were good without backing it up, praising the movie for featuring old and new characters clashed in interesting conflicts, actual visual imagination, dark and complex character arcs, good guys fighting good guys and fighting alongside bad guys, three new planets, and deep subtext about failure and survival, which Doomcock noted was really just text

The gang was able to agree with Lee that Luke and Kylo had no relationship in the prior movie, but not with him believing we finally get to see their dynamic in this one, since all we saw was the two of them shouting at each other as a result of a past dynamic we were only shown a glimpse of. He praised the film for answering the question of how it could be possible for someone to turn evil under Luke's watch, despite that answer just being Luke turning into an attempted murderer, then argued that Luke was actually following the Jedi code when he tried to murder an innocent teenager in his sleep, since the Jedi believed in not having attachments. He did have the foresight to address the natural rebuttal of Luke having saved Vader by explaining that was him redefining the Jedi teachings, and that him deciding not to kill Kylo after having decided to kill him was taking a "last stand" against them. Smud recalled that the Jedi taught to control your impulses, and Luke described his own actions in that scene as being impulsive. Lee praised the Looper-esque scene of Luke seeing a false future for being so layered he could analyze it for hours, despite having decried people speculating about the movies earlier, then put forth that Kylo murdering Han meant it was his destiny to be pure evil, despite praising the plotpoint of Luke causing it by trying to prevent it a moment later. He then described being kept on the edge of his seat by not knowing whether Kylo would turn out good or evil, and praised the movie for breaking the mold by having a bond between the hero and villain, apparently forgetting this was a series that included Luke and Vader. The gang already found his description of the moral of the Original Trilogy as "accept your family no matter how shitty" reductive, since Luke saw the good in Vader and worked to bring it out of him, and were equally unimpressed by his description of The Last Jedi's moral evolving that message to be "don't try to change your abusive boyfriend" since Rey and Kylo new each other for a day and hated each other, she gave appealing to him a shot once, then gave up. Lee continued to describe how The Last Jedi fixed the flaws of previous films, having axed the Midichlorians (nothing in the movie contradicted the idea that Midichlorians still exist), acknowledged that the Jedi overlooked the return of the Sith (the prequels acknowledged that, that was the whole point of them), given Poe flaws by having him get people killed (he saved the entire fleet at the cost of only a few soldiers, which is what you do in war), and turned the one-dimensional Hux into a joke (how does that help?). Lee explained how Luke taught Rey, who had known he existed for less than a day, not to worship him just like he taught the audience, because he was “just a dude with the Force.” He managed to segue this into the topic of the casino, which he claimed mirror people's real-life greedy nostalgia, as illustrated by a photo of a child in a Vader costume crying. Lee defended the whole plotline from the claim it was useless on the grounds that they taught Broom Boy that the Resistance is real, despite that faction having been in power and doing nothing to stop his enslavement until literally yesterday, and described the chills he got from what he described as a message of "being a Rebel was really the same thing as being a Jedi all along"

Thankfully, the remainder of Lee's video went by much quicker, since it mostly consisted of him playing clips of other reviewers who were both much more entertaining and much more substantive than him, and his responses mostly amounted to him accusing them of caring too much while caring just as much as them, and correcting minor misspeaks, the technicalities of word definitions, minor plot details, mispronounced character names, and the production quality in off-the-cuff vlogs. When one reviewer said they felt this movie lacked the heart of Star Wars, Lee countered with shots of a lightsaber swinging, the Falcon flying, and some really big walkers. When Ben Shapiro of all people compared the ship chase to the one at the beginning of A New Hope, he ignored Shapiro's point about the chase entirely and corrected him that The Last Jedi actually began with a dogfight and not a chase. Lee explained that the bombers made sense because a tie-in book revealed they were magnetic, only to then shout at people for even caring, then responded to someone questioning the map to Luke Skywalker by agreeing he had hoped there would be an explanation because that would justify, of all things, why R2 was asleep. Lee interpreted one reviewer's complaint that the movie sidelined and belittled the male characters to raise up the female characters by comparison as being an opposition to women being in the film in general, to which he now infamously responded that people should want movies to have more women in them because then "you get to look at women." MauLer could not help but find it hilarious that Lee's solution to perceived sexism against women was to instruct people to objectify women, as well as recall that Jonathan McIntosh had actually claimed the same thing about the movie highlighting women over men, but had called that a good thing. Lee also jabbed that anyone with that complaint must have been beaten by a female principal as a child, and his premise fell even flatter when he was confused by someone he had accused of not respecting women saying that Carrie Fisher deserved more respect. He explained that Leia never ackshully flew and just pulled herself with the Force, questioned why Holdo's leadership leading to a mutiny was a big deal when the mutiny ended up failing, and defended the film's comedy by explaining the meaning behind Leia joking that she had changed her hair, a joke nobody actually took issue with - naturally, he concluded people who did not find the jokes funny had no heart. He defended the "underrated" Holdo from any criticisms on the grounds that a nonzero number of people died both before and after Poe got his way, countered the claim that Chewbacca was sideline with a clip of him flying through a ravine, and explained that it was actually JJ Abrams' fault that there is no explanation for how Maz got ahold of Anakin's lightsaber, but also it actually did not matter. He claimed no one could call any newly-introduced social commentaries in the film weird because Star Wars has aliens in it, explained that the reason why DJ was just sitting in a jail cell he could have easily broken out of was because he was staking out the jail cell for people he could collect bounties on, and pinpointed Kylo trying to kill Luke s the point here he "decided to actually be evil," apparently not considering it evil to have killed Han or the other innocent people. He explained that the reason why Luke could not beat Rey in a staff fight was because that would require him to turn into a Sith, and that he knew physically going to Crait would get him killed so he opted to instead use a Force power that got him killed, then defended the film against being called anticlimactic by recounting how it made him orgasm all over the theater. When a surprise cameo from Jeremy from Geeks + Gamers claimed Rian Johnson's passive-aggressive responses to criticism were evidence he was bothered by it, Lee countered that Disney was not actually bothered, because they made a lot of money. At times he would also claim people were not being honest about their feelings, doubting one reviewer when they said they enjoyed The Phantom Menace more and claiming another secretly liked the movie and was only pretending to agree with their cohost

Maj0r Lee concluded that the reason why he liked this movie so much, naturally, was that it made other people upset, because they deserved to be made upset, for being upset. He mentioned that it would have taken him quintuple the length of the film to go over what he loved about it, leaving everyone else wondering why none of that analysis was in this video, and signed off with an edited clip of Hux saying "Long live the Supreme Leader, Rian Johnson"

vs EFAP[]

"You've got one long meme, you've got me!"

To his credit, Maj0r Lee was willing to come on the show and talk about his video on EFAP 25 with MauLer, Rags, and Vito, whose video on The Last Jedi had been featured in his own, as he found the coverage of his video to be humorous. Though he was mostly friendly, especially in comparison to his initial video, his arguments weren't any less frustrating.[1]

- likes Star Wars Battlefront II, mostly for the story and the fanservice. thinks the microtransactions' negative is overshadowed by the full game's positive. also micro transactions (star cards, that enhance characters abilities) don’t matter, unless you want to win. just making the paid upgrades be cosmetics would take the fun away from upgrading - you can't talk about game if you have not played about it, even if its something like micro transactions - transactions don’t matter, not because they don’t make the characters better, but because the game is fun regardless - sees rose as “pure fighter who lost her other half” - Rose puts fin in line and that fin would have big role in 9th movie - Finn was cowardly and that his plan was dumb and wasn't going to work and there wouldn’t be movie if they didn’t make dumb mistakes - there should be balance between fighting and saving, even though movie promotes saving instead of fighting - only two options are that Kylo either kills Luke or killed by Luke. something has to happen. its possible for Luke to not kill Kylo, but it wouldn’t be good possibility, not very big happening or affective, “we need to take it to the next level” - Kylo could beat Luke because he's “buff”, “dath wall”, but ray beat Kylo “sure Rey beat Kylo, but she’s the good guy, we don’t want the good guys to lose” - Luke and Snoke are not as strong as the new characters and has to use mind-tricks to beat them - doesn’t think that Luke beating Kylo makes no sense, as he wouldn’t want to kick kids ass after setting him on dark path - Luke's end was “best way to kill him off” as that was where the story was going and it made the most sense - there wouldn’t be any good reason him to not be there when Han died - Snoke didn’t need backstory - people wanted Luke to fight Snoke and that they wanted another emperor from Snoke - Snoke is the key to everything, but in his opinion he doesn’t have to be, especially since now Kylo is the key - makes theories in response to other peoples theories and you have to research them to understand - Kylo wants to be the most powerful jedi, “why wouldn’t he want that?” - Kylo wanted to rule with Rey - it should be about Rey and Kylo, like the original, but the story has to “get to the next level” - main conflict is that “Kylo is a bitch” - vito is child for only liking Kylo for his mask - was okay with Luke reacting to hans death off-screne - Han Luke and Leia not interacting as a group is okay, since we can appreciate the original movies - 8 is darker because it is further in the series and it has to be - found the flashbacks effective - movie wasn’t convoluted - he was in heaven when he saw the movie first time, as canto bight was pure adventure, fun, has purpose - they didn’t save the kids, well he was like six and was born there, not unlike the horses. since his young he doesn’t think that much about how its republic's fault that his a slave and that his jedi and should be in the fight on the resistance side - the kid was just a symbol - Kylo wouldn’t tell the truth that Luke was just projection, as it would make him look bad - its not a problem because it didn’t bother him - the captured anomals went back t their familiea and maybe wont be captured again, so its okay - things were explained enough for him, but sometimes they were explained bit too much, like the mechanics behind the chase - the chase plot has less stakes than Rey and Luke, and Rey and Kylo plots - only send couple of TIE fighters because Kylo was there and he was like “I got this” and they didn’t send more because they didn’t have more tie fighters or maybe they didn’t want to spends more - both sides are guilty of making up shit that happened in the film - random henchman knife disappearing is not like Luke's lightsaber disappearing randomly, as it's a lightsaber and it wasn’t meant to be part of the story - maybe there should have been blue shield around Leia instead of her flying or they could have made the flying longer as it was too quick and therefore jarring. - maybe leia just learned the flying in the spot, like Rey - its Poe's fault too that the dj found out the plan - Poe was pitch perfect and it was good that the last jedi gave him flaws, he likes that they made him contractionary by making him great flier but bad leader and he needed to be told about his flaws by superior - Rey is forgiving and more forgiving than Luke, as he was willing to turn down Kylo - rey's mistake was falling for Kylo - rationalizes the decision based on the result, like how peo made mistakes because if he didn’t do anything everything would have been fine or holdo thought he would blab the plan, as Poe is showed to do with DJ - Poe was snappy, so he didn’t get to know the plan - Luke is like a puppet master, by not being a puppetmaster - villains are blinded by their emotions - Kylo is a dummie - Kylo wouldn’t be this evild if he wasent their kid - the last jedi was made for the fan that didn’t wan repeats of the original trilogy, so it was great that Snoke was killed - the movie made you like Kylo, like how he kills other villains - he clapped and jumped around, “what are you, a child?” - seeing r2d2 didn't make him clap, guy getting shredded made him - likes when star wars does star wars - Kylo hates his dad because hos han solo, you think han would be good father? - Kylo should be a mystery, you shouldn’t know what he is going to do, if you knew what his moves were he would be boring - Rey save Kylo by fighting with him - Kylos only motivation is that his evil - Rey and Kylo have love relationship, considering that the star wars has relations - finger touching makes them in love and that they have chemistry - space opera means soap opera in space - main story is Rey and Kylo, or its going to be rivalry - there is sexual attention between the first face to face moment between Kylo and Rey - you shouldn’t go to movies with idea of where the story goes - the tentacle monster in millennium falcon had no stakes - star wars should be soap opera in disguise - Luke was going to kill Kylo - Luke fixes his mistake in the end - you can take things in a direction, but they wouldn’t be as good - thought Lukes arc her e was better and was condensed into one film - Luke deserved to make mistakes , have dimensions and deserved to be flawed - thinks people have “messianic view” - its dramatic a dn interesting that Luke is pathetic - if people love a movie, it can’t be the worst movie in the world - something is in fim that you can debate it, so you can just use theories and future possible evidence to use as evidence for facts, like how Kylo and Rey are in love is could be since 9th movie had not come out yet, so saying they are in love can be argued since we don’t know - Kylo has some kind of feeling for Rey, “it might be love, you can interper it as love” - it made perfect sens that Luke threw away his lightsaber, as it was unexpected - imagery, when sun goes down, Kylo goes bad and kills his dad - likes being over th top and corny. knows his points are stupid - wants to give Rian a hug and Kathleen - fucking your grandma is not like playing games as playin is supposed to be fun - thinks rags and vito sound similar - only uses “maybe” because he doesn’t want to be definitive and only uses when he is sure - its boring if villain is one dimensional, but its okay if it’s the archetype, like pure evil mob boss - thinks Kylo is new type of villain - Rey failed enough and the protagonist needs to eb powerful - last jedi was fitting sequel to force awakens
